The Cortes Community Wolf Project (CCWP) is delighted to have the opportunity to introduce Cortesians to Jillian Bjarnason, Conservation Officer (CO) with the North Vancouver Island Conservation Officer Service (COS).
Join Jillian to learn about the services offered by the CO Service and put a face to the COS!
Cortes Island is home territory to three BC apex predators: black bear, cougar and gray wolf. Join Jillian to learn about her professional work with these animals and receive her professional advice for living together/ coexisting with them on Cortes Island.
Doors open to Lakeview Room at 1:00 pm for viewing wildlife displays Jillian will be bringing, with formal introduction to Jillian and COS beginning at 1:30 pm. Jillian is able to be with us until 3:00 pm and her time will be prioritized to meet community members and receive your questions/ comments wrt any/ all aspects of wildlife coexistence, regulation, reporting, etc.
