DEC 21, 24 & 28: Yoga with Kelly
Kelly Benson is offering three weekly yoga classes at Mansons Hall:
Vinyasa Flow Sundays 11:00 am and Thursdays 5:30 pm, and Seniors Yoga Thursdays at 11:30am. All classes are in the Om Studio. For more info email kbrock55yahoo.ca
DEC 21: Winter Solstice Dance Temple
A time to embrace darkness, call in light and dance the sun back to the sky.
6:30-7:00, Tanya of Blossoms Chocolate will be facilitating cacao in ceremony into guided warm-up and movement for $10. Please contact Tanya blossomschocolategmail.com to register for that.
7:00-8:30, DJ Moon Cat (Connie Q) will weave your musical soundscape for ecstatic dance followed by didgeridoo sound healing for $15-$25 at the door.
Dance Temple is a welcome space for all bodies, all genders, all abilities and experience levels.
We come as sober as we are able to participate with presence.
We keep conversation off the dance floor to focus on dance.
We embrace consent and healthy connection.
You are invited to begin this next cycle of the sun, as humans have always done, with dance!
DEC 22 Friday Market
It’s our last Friday Market of the year! Friday afternoon from 12 to 3 PM in the Main Hall.
(Thereafter, the market will be closed for three weeks; reopening on Friday, January 19.)
In celebration of the holiday season, our quality vendors are serving up rare treats and goodies such as baked goods, gems and crystals, artisan soaps, natural beauty products, books by Cortesian authors, stonework, handmade jewelry, locally designed merino wool clothing and socks, assorted handicrafts, textiles, handmade greeting cards, and fresh-rolled pasta!
Come on out and support your local vendors; this is one of the island's most-beloved weekly events.
DEC 22: Thrift Store
The SCCA Thrift Store is open weekly during the Friday Market 1-3 pm, and Tuesdays 2-5pm, with plenty of gently-used clothing items for the entire family to choose from. You will find it down the hall to the Pioneer Room. All items are sold by a suggested donation to the SCCA.
The Thrift Store will also be closed the same three weeks as the Friday Market (see above).

DEC 23: Last Night Makers Market
Join us for the Last Night Market 2023 on Saturday December 23rd from 4-7pm at Mansons Hall.
Local artists and makers bring their beautiful handcrafted creations and select vendors bring quality pre-loved items for re-gifting!
Wildflower Sarah will be there with her late fall harvest of beautiful fresh produce!
A traditional French Canadian Dinner with Tourtière (meat pie), Soupe au Pois (pea soup), Maple Pie, Date Squares and Hot Chocolate!

DEC 27: Drumming with Pawl
This all-levels drum class features African rhythms and techniques taught by Pawl Khan. You will improve your technique, have fun and experience the many health benefits of drumming in a circle. Pawl has decades of experience as a world-class drummer and instructor.
