FolkU/Jemma
This session will be held in the Cortes School Portable from 1 - 2:30pm.

Media literacy in an opinion-saturated world:

Some methods to judge truth, deceit, opinion, and bias in modern media. How do we determine credibility, distinguish fear mongering from real threats, or discriminate between hopium and real possibility? How can we be more responsible and credible when we join the conversation?

We look at out media is used to deceive, and how it is used to inform, and how to tell the difference. We will examine the methods of understanding evidence, used by historians, credible journalists, and investigators. We will explore ways to be more effective and compelling in communications.

🌸 Folk University highlights the incredible diversity of knowledge of our Cortes community. These sessions are free to anybody who would like to come learn with us 🌸
