Starting January 1st, 2024, solid waste tipping fees at the Comox Valley and Campbell River Waste Management Centres will be increasing to shift costs towards a ‘user pay’ model in an effort to reduce unnecessary waste going into the landfill. These updates are intended to encourage positive behavioural change aimed at reducing waste, thereby extending the life of the landfill, which ultimately saves money for all taxpayers.
