BC Ferries and the BC Ferry Authority want to know what is needed to keep people,
goods, and services in coastal communities connected and moving through to 2050
and beyond.

BC Ferries and the BC Ferry Authority are launching Charting the Course, a visioning
initiative for the coastal ferry system. As part of this initiative, an initial public
engagement will take place from November 8th to November 28th, 2023.

BC Ferries and the BC Ferry Authority are engaging coastal and Indigenous
communities, BC Ferries staff, local and regional governments, and interest holders to
define a vision and strategies needed to enhance ferry services in coastal
communities into the future.

From now until November 28, you can participate in the online engagement by going
to https://www.bcferriesprojects.ca/bc-ferries-charting-the-course

Please feel free to share this link and engagement opportunity with your wider network.
BC Ferries and the BC Ferry Authority have indicated all findings from the engagement
activities will be made public online. The final vision is expected by summer 2024. It will
outline a roadmap to get to an integrated, reliable and accessible ferry service for
decades to come.
