Maureen Williams, for FTCCIS
Hello supporters of the Children’s Forest,

This year, Giving Tuesday is November 28th. It is our most important fundraising campaign of the year.
We had a very successful campaign last year. Thanks to your incredible show of support, the Forest Trust for the Children of Cortes Island Society, together with Mosaic Forest Management, completed the necessary field work that will lead to timber and land valuation. With the ongoing generosity of the Cortes community, we are optimistic that 2024 will be the year valuation will conclude and, at long last, a purchase price for the Cortes Children's Forest will be finalized.

Our success so far has depended on the generosity of those who share our vision and have committed to helping us through each step. On Giving Tuesday, or any time you feel moved to do so, we invite you to make a donation toward navigating this exciting phase of our ultimate goal of purchasing the Children’s Forest.

At this time, we are seeking a donor who can provide matching funds—could that be you?
If so, please let us know! You can send a message to Chris at christwincomm.ca

Thank you for being part of this great journey toward purchase and protection of the Children’s Forest. As a special treat, we offer the opportunity once again to view the incredible short film produced in 2022 by our amazing alumni. Enjoy.

With sincere thanks,
Maureen Williams, on behalf of FTCCIS

"For over a decade I've been involved with the FFTCIS because of the special place Grandmother Grove holds in my heart from my childhood on Cortes. The Children's Forest is a truly inspirational place. It not only holds so much wisdom and biodiversity, but is also a valuable space for folks to come together as a community to decide what our values are and what our relationship to the natural world around us looks like."
