Tiny ones. Mushy ones. Delicate ones. Creepy ones. Up high. Under logs. Come and discover the fascinating fungal world in the forest, and maybe a newt or two.

The Children’s Forest nature walk begins at the trailhead on Carrington Bay Road at 10:00 am, Sunday, November 5. Do remember the time change!!

Short legs and sharp eyes are the best spotters of mushrooms. Bring another family to join us. We expect to be back at the trailhead by 2:00, but families who wish to turn back sooner are welcome to do so.

Our fall rains have begun to fill giant puddles, so PLEASE wear rubber boots, and rain gear/warm clothes. Bring hearty snacks & lunch. We welcome new hikers, but please leave dogs behind out of respect for wild places and creatures.

Note – This is not a foraging activity, but a time of curiosity and exploration.
