Helen - FOCI
Friends of Cortes Island wishes to remind people to be mindful when putting your garbage out and
to thoroughly wash all food/drink containers and packaging before placing in your garbage or recycling.

Please also make sure to that your garbage is in a covered container, and consider putting it out first thing in the morning and not the night before.

This is good practice to avoid scavenging by wildlife, and is a particular request for people living in Whaletown; with wolves known to be active in the area at this time.

Your help with this is much appreciated.

You can find more about wildlife coexistence on our
website, including our guidelines on https://www.friendsofcortes.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Cortes-Wolf-Primer.pdf
