weekly Friday Market 12-3pmMarket vendor feature:
some of our longest vendors - history in the making! Brig Weiler Brig founded the original Manson's Hall Farmer's Market circa 1983! with a group of 8 women who were awarded a women's employment grant. The market had permanent booths (which were unfortunately demolished to enlarge the current parking lot). As part of the grant, Brig and her co-creators started the original Squirrel Cove Craft Shop in the basement of the general store. Brig was also part of starting the Manson's Christmas market some 40 years ago. That's a lot of history!
Stop by her table for original metal cast and copper enamel jewelry, as well as art cards printed from her paintings.
Donna Naven Donna started at the Manson's Friday Market 25 years ago with crochet hats, then hand-painted furniture, then stenciled clothing. She started rock carving, her current mainstay, 20 years ago.
Stop by her table to see scupltures and pendants carved from stones found locally and across BC, as well as purchased from further afield. Donna is inspired by different cultures reaching as far back as the Neolithic period.
Heather McKenzie aka "The Crystal Lady"Heather has been at the Friday market for 20 years with Austrian Swarovski crystal suncatchers and prisms, some of which she makes into necklaces and earrings. Heather also makes silver and gemstone jewelry - and is sometimes joined by her daughter Dina, who sells fresh flowers, eggs and funky wool socks.
