Marnie's Books Celebration

Join us for a special evening of readings.

This year marks a special anniversary for the little bookstore that could!

It has been 5 & 20 years since Marnie began her journey to fulfil a dream. She started out with her yellow Read Island Mobile Bookstore in 1998, moved to Cortes five years later, and in 2003 opened the doors of her little red bookstore in the Co-op courtyard.

For 25 years, Marnie and her bookstore have served to inspire and support everyone with a love of reading, writing and community!

To mark the occasion, Ruth Ozeki, Norm Gibbons, Priya Huffman, Shaena Lambert, Erin Robinsong, and Rex Weyler will read selections from their works. Authors' books will be for sale.

Please bring your folding chairs.

There will be take-out food for purchase at the Co-op, 5 – 7 p.m.

This event is organized by Marnie's Books in partnership with the Cortes Island Museum & Archives. Donations to the Museum are welcome.
