For those of you that were blessed with apples this year, it may soon be time to harvest.
Good Libations offers the following services to process apples:

Good Libations also facilitates an annual apple juice fundraiser for the Cortes Food Bank
- We accept apple donations for juice pressing.
- We sell apple juice to raise funds for the Cortes Food Bank
Are you ready to harvest your apples for juice, wine or cider?
- Email Loni at loni.rene.taylorgmail.com
- Plan on storing your apples in proper cold storage, Good Libations can provide this at no charge.
Are your apples falling off the tree? Wondering if they are ready to harvest? Slice one open and look at the seeds. When apples are ready, the seeds are dark brown. If the seeds are white or yellow, they still have loads of time on the tree to ripen and produce the sugar for the process.
Older trees that are not thinned, may be so loaded with apples that they self-prune (aka the apples are falling off the tree right now!) This is NOT an indication that your apples are ready.
You need approximately 110 pounds of apples to make one batch (23 Litres=31, 750mL wine bottles of wine or 65, 355mL cider bottles of cider). We also offer apple-ginger-lime cider. Processing costs $120 per batch. You must bring the apples clean. Tree fall apples are not acceptable for pressing unless they have been carefully cleaned.
Please give us a call BEFORE you harvest your fruit, intended for juice, wine or cider. Keeping your apples in proper cold storage after harvesting is integral to juicing success. Let us help maximize the flavor and quality. We have a walk-in cooler for customer convenience. We look forward to hearing from you. Loni is happy to answer all your apple juicing questions, by email.
Loni is open to pressing other types of fruit. Pears, grapes, quince, and kiwis are some special varieties we have pressed in the past. You must contact Loni by email before you harvest, if you are interested in this special service.
