Acting for the Camera (Ages 9 - 13)
August 7 – 10, 10 am - 12:30 pm
4-day workshop, $80
Manson’s Hall
"In this 4-day summer camp, youths will begin to develop intangible life skills they can utilize in any career they choose to pursue in the future. Research shows that skills acquired through the performing arts – (i.e. creativity, confidence, public speaking, teamwork, determination, problem solving and flexible thinking), radically improve outcomes for our youths. In fact for many, access to expression through the arts is essential to mental health and their way of being in the world.
This camp has a 12-student maximum, and those taking part are typically beginner actors with no previous experience that are simply curious about acting and having fun."

"Be the Media” Introduction to Digital Video Content Creation (Ages 13 - 17)
August 14 – 17, 1 – 4 pm
4-day workshop, $95
Manson’s Hall
"Today, the lines between more traditional media networks and independent outlets/social networks are becoming blurred, allowing for anyone to easily express their point-of-view to the world.
In this 4-day workshop, youths will love to learn first-hand how to make their own short films and express their own unique voice. They will learn how to create, edit and publish digital content for various digital platforms, such as social media, websites, and mobile devices. They will really enjoy learning how to use various tools and software to produce videos, graphics, animations, and interactive media that engage and inform audiences who are excited to hear what they have to say."
