FRIDAY MARKET UPDATES: our hours are 12-3Dear Market Goers,
Thank you for your ongoing support of our Farmers and Artisans Market at Mansons Hall.
It has been wonderful to see all your familiar faces as well as all the travellers and new to Cortes folks gathering at our community hub!
We would like to remind everyone that
THE FRIDAY MARKET IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC 12-3pm. Before noon, many vendors are still busy setting up, so we really appreciate your patience in waiting for our doors and the outside areas to officially open.
(You may see vendors buying from each other before noon, this is a VENDORS ONLY experience, as they are tied to their booths for the rest of the market.)
If you arrive at the hall earlier than noon, please feel free to check out our Thrift Store or our take-a-book-leave-a-book shelf in the hallway.
Dog owners: we love your pups too, but only documented service animals are allowed inside the hall due to food service regulations. Dogs anywhere on SCCA property need to be on a leash, especially during busy market hours when there is lots of traffic and kids. If you go indoors, please tie up your dog in the shade at a distance from the entrances.
Prospective Vendors: Our vendor applications are closed for the 2023 summer season. However, if you would like to be added to our waitlist please email anastasiamansonshall.org. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate last minute vendor drop-ins on market day.
If you are interested in participating in our market during the fall and winter, we will forward you a vendor application package!
New: There is live music 1-2:30pm in the Village Commons next door. You can find your way there through the treed area beside our outdoor market vendors.
Thank YOU for helping make the Friday Market a smooth and happy experience for everyone!♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

https://mansonshall.org/summer-youth-recreational-program-2023/)Wild Artists July 24-27 10am-12noon
ages 8-12, Smelt Bay
Come explore nature-based artistic play and awaken your wild creative spirit with the elements through song, story, sand-castle building, movement and art. Together we will explore bardic arts: connecting with nature and telling our stories through artistic expression.
What is a bard? A singer, a speaker, an artist who connects deeply with nature and brings stories to the community. The bardic magic of creativity can be channeled if only we turn our curious eyes to the wild edges nature and ourselves…
Each day we will explore a new element to inspire our artistic play..
🌎 Earth ~ story-telling - every place holds stories in layers of memory and each story has a geography… come explore story through world-building and sand-castle creation.
🌬️ Air ~ We’ll explore sound play with our voices, then learn to catch songs in the wind. Breath fills us and we become an instrument, like flute or bagpipes, it gives us voice to bring our creativity into the realm of sound.
🔥 Fire ~ Together we’ll experiment with finding new forms, shapes and ways to move our bodies. What moves you? Today, we are going to find out! Soaking up the sun and playing with the waves, we will draw on nature for embodied inspiration.
🌊 Water ~ Come make art inspired by the ocean waves… Fluid and dreamy, water inspires our exploration of colour and art. Learning from water, we can open up intuitive play and create from our own deep inner well of creative imagination.
