Historical Clothing Pop-up at the Cortes Island Museum, Wednesday, July 19, 1 pm to 4 pm

Take a stroll through the past in the Heritage Garden with some fabulous clothing from the Museum’s collection.

Curious about how clothes were washed “back in the days,” or the tools used to card wool?

Interested in seeing the detailing of a vintage party dress or the iconic black wedding dress worn by Margaret Manson from the late 1800s?

And just in time for Cortes Day, here is your chance to see King Karl’s legendary cape up close!

Come experience this one-day pop-up event that explores local history through some classic outfits, accessories, and clothing from the Museum’s collection. Local textile artists will also be on hand demonstrating their techniques and have work for sale.
