Come one come all, Cortes Day is upon us!
At the Smelt Bay Park Waterfront
The parade begins at 11am:
All participants are welcome, wheeled, shod, led, rolling, running! We invite you to exhibit your wildness and weirdness, be it on bike or foot, float or wagon.
Bikes and peds will lead the parade, and vehicles with engines will follow at the end. Please leave lots of room for any non-human participants.
Meet on Potlatch Road at 1030am.
The day’s events include:
FAMILY GAMES with the Harveys
NAIL SAIL BAIL starting at 1230pm, finishing with the BIG RACE at 3pm
KIDS ZONE - Bouncy Castle, face-painting, and tickle trunk
LIVE MUSIC:

CHICKEN POOP! (enough said)
BBQ LUNCH serving Two Rivers Meats, and Organic Chilli
VENDORS craft market and food sellers
MULTI PRIZE RAFFLES!!!!
Prizes from local supporters including Hollyhock, The Cortes Island Motel, Marnie’s Books, The Cortes Natural Food Co-op, The Cortes Market, and more!
The organisers are working hard to bring you this COMMUNITY EVENT, and still need a few more volunteers to pull it all together.
We also would appreciate the loan of a few coolers to use on Friday and Saturday, so please get in touch if you can help.
