Celebrate the beginning of the summer season in the Museum’s Heritage Garden with Michael Keith!

Michael is a professional musician with over 20 years with an extensive history of touring and performing as a blues/rock guitarist. He performed in Winnipeg, Calgary, and Edmonton folk festivals. He toured with Carlos Deljunco, Mia Sheard, Martin Tielli, and many other musicians. Michael is a highly successful teacher and practitioner of freely improvised music. As an improviser, Michael performed at Distillery Jazz Festival, Montreal International Jazz Festival, Festival du Musique Action (Nancy, France), Venezia (Teatro Fondamenta Nuove, Italy), various Interface (AIMT) concerts with many noted improvisers (Toronto). Michael composed music for Buddhist poetry and performed in temples in Taiwan with his guqin (
