Christine
“Ring-a-ling-ring”,
I’m not too high and not too low,
I look like a robin.
What am I?"

Calling all young birders and families to participate in the CIMAS Annual Spring Bird Count on Sunday, May 7 in the Children’s Forest. Our feathered friends are all around, but can you see them? What do they look like? Can you hear them? Where are they? What are they doing? What feathers can be found? The focus will be on being bird detectives and observing, and less on naming birds.

We meet at 10:00 at the trailhead into the Children's Forest, Carrington Bay Rd. with snacks & lunch. Binoculars are not easy for children to use, but parents may want them. New families are always welcome, as are folks without children. Families are free to return earlier than our approximate times if needed. We go rain or shine, and out of respect for wild creatures, please leave dogs at home.

(answer - varied thrush, lxoreus naevius)
