Mark your calendars:
Sunday, May 7, 20239 am at the Museum or 9:30 at Seavista Road
Join the Cortes Island Museum’s Spring Migration Birding Day on Sunday, May 7.
This is a relaxing fun day where we travel as a group, share our birding knowledge, and record the species we observe.
For south-end birders – meet at the Museum (957 Beasley Road) at 9 am. We will carpool to the driveway entrance of 286 Seavista Road in Whaletown to join the rest of the birders there at 9:30.
Children accompanied by an adult are welcome; some walking is involved.
Bring your binoculars, cameras, bird books, AND LUNCH to eat along the way. How long you stay is up to you – but we usually wrap up at Smelt Bay mid-afternoon.
Take a picture! And send them later to the Museum at cimastwincomm.ca.
Up to date Spring Count Bird results are available at our website
www.cortesmuseum.com/bird-counting. For easy reference of Cortes Island birds, see the attached Spring Bird Count Field List.
A small donation to the Museum to cover expenses is appreciated.
