OFA 1 CPR -C + AED/ Emergency First Aid Certificate Training

Emergency First Aid is a comprehensive training and is equivalent to WorkSafeBC Occupational Level 1 for use in the workplace. Using hands-on training and practice, this basic first aid course will give you confidence to respond effectively in an emergency. You will learn lifesaving skills such as CPR/AED and obstructed airway procedures to respond to adult, child and infant emergencies. You will also learn to recognize and respond to respiratory and circulatory emergencies including asthma, allergic reactions, heart attack, stroke, and bleeding.

Temporary certification cards provided at course completion. Permanent cards issued by Lifesaving BC via email (1-2 weeks delay).

Life Saving Community Training - CPR-C + AED / Short-Course Refresher

Be prepared to save a life! This shorter training offers the basics for everyone!

Knowing how to activate EMS, perform CPR and use an AED are critical lifesaving skills that everyone should have. Learn how to recognize and treat the early signs of heart attack - additional skills include how to help someone who is choking and perform CPR when there is more than one rescuer. CPR-C with AED teaches the skills needed to help adults, children and infants.This refresher short-course covers:

Introduction & orientation
Principles and Legalities of first aid
Self-protection / Communication
Anatomy & physiology of ABC priorities, AED knowledge
Victim assessments: conscious and unresponsive
One & Two -rescuer CPR: adult, child, infant
Obstructed airway: conscious and unresponsive adult, child, infant
Circulatory emergency: shock, non-traumatic chest pain, stroke
Mental health emergencies (CIS only)

Standard First Aid Recertification Training

This full-day SFA recertification course covers adult, child and infant CPR, how to use a life-saving AED, and basic emergencies including heart attack, stroke and shock. Ideal for the lifeguards, RMT's, chiro's, physio's and other health-related professions renew their first aid certification for license renewal purposes.

It's also a fun, hands-on, applied course that will brush-up on your first aid and CPR skills.
