Hello Cortes Gardeners!
BUILDING SOIL HEALTH & FERTILITY is the theme for our upcoming FREE Gathering for Gardeners on Cortes Island on Tuesday, March 21 at 7pm at Mansons Hall.

Whitney Vanderleest, owner/founder of New Branch Permaculture and Lucretia Schanfarber, long-time no-dig gardener and host of Gabbing about Gardening Radio Show and podcast will co-present a fast-paced and colourful slide show.

Together, they will help us learn how to:

* Assess our own soil (pH, soil type, inherent problems, weeds)
* ID & correct soil deficiencies
* Build soil health & fertility
* Identify and utilize local & free resources
* Use weeds to make our own fertilizer
* Improve drainage
* Make our best compost ever
* Build garden beds without digging

We will also have a seed swap table so let's all bring our extra seeds.
