Membership in the Society is very important as it shows your support for the organization and its programming.


CISS CALENDAR FOR March 2023

Some important dates in March

• Wednesday, March 8 – International Women's Day
Sunday, March 12 – Spring Time Change
• Friday, March 17 – Happy St. Patrick Day!
• Monday, March 20 – Spring Equinox, First Day of Spring

Luncheons
George and Gerri Lerchs are going to host a seniors' lunch once a month, starting on March 25th at their house. The cost will be $15.00 and it will be a three course lunch with coffee and tea and will start at 12:30.

Please contact Gerri and George by March 17 if you are interested in coming.

T'ai Chi Ch'uan
• Tuesday, starting mid-March, 9 am, OM STUDIO, Manson's Hall, with Judyth Weaver. Check Tideline for announcement of the start date.

Carpet Bowling
• Wednesdays and Saturdays, Manson's Hall. Call De0305 for more information

Literary Afternoon
• The event from February was moved to March 5. Linnaea Education Centre, Fireside Room, 2 to 3:30 pm. Bring a mug, and warm socks or slippers. By donation. All adults welcome.
• Readers/writers: Irene Blueth, Dayna Davis, Karen McDiarmid, Margaret Verschuur, and Laurel Bohart

Poetry Reading Group
• March 5. Linnaea Education Centre, library, 3:30 to 5:30 pm.

Attend both events if you can.

DeathCaring Collective
• no scheduled meetings for March. Next meeting in April

Walking Group
The walking group meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9 am, Manson's Hall parking lot, for 30-min to one-hour walk, followed by coffee. Coffee location TBA.

Marnie's Books Hours
• Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 am to 3 pm

Cortes Island Museum and Wild Cortes
• Fridays and Saturdays, noon to 4 pm, new exhibitions in both locations COMING in soon! Watch Tideline for announcements.

BINGO NIGHTS!?

So far, one member was interested. We are looking for more interest.
