This week's vendor spotlight:
JOY SHIPWAY
Continuing with the scrumptious food offerings to be found at Manson's Friday Markets, if you haven't had a spanakopita made by Joy, you haven't lived. What makes them so amazing? The filling is actually pesto made from 200 basil plants grown in the summer for all those spanos the rest of the year. Wow!
Joy also has olives dressed with olive oil and garden herbs, as well as the above-mentioned pesto, apple strudel, cookies, jam, granola and blackberry vinegar. Get there before she sells out!

FRIDAY DEC 16 7pm - Awakeneers music show
Playing their first indoor concert on Cortes in three years, these multi-instrumentalists have tons of fresh material delivered in acoustic positivity. Tickets are $10 in advance - available at the Friday market and at the Food Co-op / $12 at the door.

SUNDAY DEC 18 6pm - Dragon Songs - A Rock Opera + Solstice Story Telling
"Your very own Norleen will kick off the night with a story for Solstice! Then, Rue McDonald will share another tale for winter, calling on audience participation. Finally, a cast of 10 will present Dragon Songs, an original Rock Opera. It’s a musical story about the beauty of the world and the walls we create. About reclaiming voice and power at a time when it’s so needed.
Tickets are a suggested $15 at the door but no one turned away! Kids free"
