Cortes DeathCaring Collective is a once a month gathering of folks who are enthusiastic about opening up conversations and learning more about death, dying, and grief. Each meeting is structured with a time for sharing, an educational presentation, and a discussion about on-going projects in our community.

The topic for this meeting is “The Moment of Death” with Huguette Ruel. Huguette is a retired palliative care nurse who has been at the bedside of many as they took their last breath. She will tell us about the moment of death – not in the physical sense as a nurse, but from her experiential perspective as a witness.
