UPDATE: There will be log hauling along the new Gorge Harbour branch road in the community forest on Saturday and Sunday November 26 & 27.

To keep things run smoothly and safely for everyone, the day for collecting firewood with a free use permit will be pushed back by a week to Dec 3.

----

There will be an opening for people to come out and collect firewood along the new road in the community forest on Saturday Nov 26.

As in past years, people are required to download and fill in a free use permit from the CFGP website. The free use permit allows you to come out and buck and collect up to two pickup loads for personal use.

There is a bit of firewood already bucked for people without a chainsaw. You can also borrow or hire someone with a pickup to come out and get some if you don't have a pickup, as long as their name is filled in on the free use permit.

You don't need to send in the permit, just have it in the vehicle.

The CFGP will also be hosting an open house on Wednesday December 7 at 6:30 pm in the Mansons Hall to begin the public consultation for upcoming 2023 - 2027 5 year plan, including operations being planned in the Von Donop, Anvil Lake, and Carrington Coulter Bay areas.
