Heat Pumps and Government Energy Retrofit Rebates
Climate Resilience! Info Session
presented by Friends of Cortes Island
Saturday, November 12, 4-5:30 pm
Pioneer Room at Manson's Hall
To adapt to climate change, we need to find new ways of living. FOCI’s Climate Resilience project aims to lower our environmental impact by reducing green house gas emissions. Canada’s forests have become a large source of carbon emissions, while firewood is increasingly expensive and difficult to find. Electric heat pumps are an efficient alternative to burning wood for home heat. There are many other ways we can retrofit our homes to make them more energy efficient.
Come find out more at a presentation by Kuan-Jian Foo of Coast Building Systems, a certified energy auditor and expert on federal and provincial energy retrofit rebates. Please come with your questions!
Survey: Home Heating on Cortes
We’d like to create a home energy consultant so residents can get assistance with heat pumps, energy retrofits and rebate paperwork.
In order to judge the level of interest, please fill in this short survey. Thanks!
