Update - the Smelt Bay, City West installation.

1) Thanks to the folks who reached out in response to my earlier post.

2) City West, Senior Project Manager Wes Eisses called with an update on matters concerning this installation. He said the box could not be moved! It was due to be increased in dimension on the waterside sometime around Nov 8-9th and a cable run under the road to another vault. He mentioned the presence of an archeologist.

3) Wess said he had approached the Highways department for permission to build a three-sided screen around the box that would be open at the ocean side. Permission would be at the digression of Highways on whose land the whole mess rests. He wanted my and your response to this.

4) When I asked why there had been no consultation on City West’s project, he replied that, since the land in this case was Highways, no consultation on the Smelt Bay intrusion or on any others was needed.
