We've needed time to pause, to step mindfully into the stillness and emptiness, to hear the echo of the song sung by the community honouring Lore.
Our gratitude to the community's support and love is immense. THANK YOU.
Lore really wanted a green burial, we had no idea of all the help we would need and receive. Foremost, the DeathCare Collective, Margaret and the many, many volunteers who helped prepare the still very rough green burial site. All the friends who stepped forward to hold the space, read and share... then the flowers and rosemary... soothing beauty, Lore loved beauty... the tables afterwards overflowing with food and drink allowing all to linger, celebrate and grieve. And also all the kindness and expertise from the Cortes Health Center and the wisdom and practical support from Ann D.
We continue to bathe in love, cards, food, written and spoken words, a glance, a gesture...
And then there are the wild geese flying overhead calling.. I look at them and know Lore is well.
