What an amazing group of people who showed up to help get our hay off the fields and into the barn! We moved close to 1000 bales, weighing in at around 40,000lbs of hay!
Farming has been hard this year, record low temperatures, record high rainfall, early crop failures, too many slugs to count, followed by these high temperatures.
And when we put the call out for folks to help, it does the heart good to see how many heed the call!

Big thanks for you all who came out in the heat, drove your trucks/trailers, lifted so many bales, made pots of electrolyte tang drink to keep the hayloft crew hydrated, raked alongside the tractor, tuned up the machines, made and baked pizzas to feed the crew, and shared so many laughs with! It was an epic couple days leading up to hay day, and having so many hands made light the work!!
