Island Health will be returning to Cortes Island on Friday, July 15 at the Gorge Hall to vaccinate individuals who are age 70+, Indigenous 55+, or Clinically Extremely Vulnerable who are 6 months past their last dose. As well, people who haven’t had their 1st, 2nd (age 5+), or first booster dose (age 12+) are welcome to book in. You can get your booster dose if it has been six months since your last dose.

Eligible residents should receive an invitation from the Provincial Get Vaccinated system and should login to Get.vaccinated.gov.bc.ca to book an appointment. You can also call – see full notice below.

Island Health is holding a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic in your community.

TO REGISTER:

Residents who meet eligibility requirements should receive an invitation from the Provincial Get Vaccinated system to book an appointment. If you don’t receive an invitation and you feel you are eligible, please call the Provincial Call Centre at 1-833-838-2323 to speak with an agent.

Please share this notice with others in your community to help spread the word about this special pop-up clinic. Thank you!

QUESTIONS:

Are drop-ins welcome?
We will have limited capacity for some walk-ins. Appointments are preferred to ensure we have enough vaccine for those who need it.

When will people under 70 be offered a second booster?
At this time in BC, second booster doses are only recommended for people ages 70+, Indigenous people ages 55+ and people living in (or awaiting placement in) a long-term care home.

I can’t remember when my last dose was. How do I find out?
To find out the dates of your last dose, call 1-833-838-2323 (Mon-Fri, 7am-7pm) to ask an agent, or visit www.healthgateway.gov.bc.ca.
