Please note: although we try very hard to keep you updated, please make sure you sign up for the service notices from BC ferries and check their website before you travel. We approve ads in the morning and evening and sometimes in between. If we have important information to share, we will do so but we might just miss it as well so please don’t rely on us for these kind of notices and multiple updates. Bc Ferries is having challenges with their crews everywhere and it is very likely this will happen again in the future.
Thank you.

Service notice - Cancelled Sailings - Tachek
—
The earlier staffing shortage on the Tachek has been resolved as replacement crew members have been sourced and are on their way. Once they are on site, the vessel will provide two round trips this evening, on the regular posted schedule, as follows:
Departing Whaletown (Cortes Island)
Departing Heriot Bay (Quadra Island)
3:50 pm
5:05 pm
5:50 pm
6:45 pm
—
Re-issued at 9:55 am:
Due to crew availability on the Tachek, all sailings today, June 25, have been cancelled. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
We require a specific number of crew members on board the vessel to ensure the safety of our passengers in the unlikely event of an emergency and to comply with Transport Canada regulations. The decision to cancel a sailing in these circumstances is made when we have exhausted all options to find replacement crew.
For the most up-to-date sailing and departure information, follow BCFerries on Twitter.
We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience you may experience as a result of these cancellations.
