Quadra RCMP are requesting assistance in an uttering threats incident
On May 28th, 2022 Quadra RCMP received a report of uttering threats at Marina Island. The complainant advised that they were having a kayak adventure with multiple youth around 15 years, when approximately 20-30 individuals showed up for a rave claiming they were sacrificing a goat. The group appeared intoxicated, and two of the men were exposing themselves to each other and passing boaters. One man in the party became verbally aggressive with one of the adults kayak volunteers, and made a few indirect threats involving a firearm. The youth kayak group subsequently left in order to avoid further confirmation.
The man is question is not believed to be local but is described as:
50’s.
Arm and chest tattoos.
Average build.
6’0 to 6’1.
Shaggy grey beard.
Possibly wispy short grey hair.
Possibly named Mike.
Wearing glasses.
This man is currently a person of interest to the Quadra RCMP. We are looking for any witnesses to come forward regarding this incident. If anybody knows who the man or can provide any information, please contact the Quadra RCMP, says Constable Rebekah Draht, Quadra Island Media Relations officer.
This incident is believed to be isolated and there doesn’t appear to be any immediate danger to the public.
