Bumblebees are the first bee pollinators out actively foraging and pollinating every spring.
Have you seen them yet?
Their fuzzy coat of hair combined with their ability to keep warm by rapidly moving their thoracic flight muscles to generate heat, allows them to brave these cooler temperatures.
Come learn more about these important pollinators, their lifecycle, their amazing ability to fly, and what we can do to support them and other bee species. Sit and listen to bee experts sharing their knowledge and concerns about bees through our video display.
The Listening to Bees exhibit at the Cortes Museum (957 Beasley R0ad, one block up the hill from Manson's Hall) is open Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.
