What does al this mean? The ferry is running again but behind schedule and will probably be that way for the rest of the day.

UPDATE 8:15 am 26/2

Please be advised that the MV Tachek is currently operating 75 minutes behind schedule due to an earlier mechanical difficulty which has since been resolved.

UPDATE 7:30 pm 25/2 Repairs are expected to be completed in time for the first posted sailing in the morning, Saturday, February 26, 2022. In the event that overnight repairs take longer than expected, water taxi service will not be available on Saturday due to the forecasted weather - Strong Winds.

Please be advised that the MV Tachek has cancelled all sailings today and until further notice.

The vessel is experiencing a difficulty with the structural integrity of its hull which requires repairs. Our engineers are working hard to resolve the issue, and we will keep you informed as soon as more information becomes available.

A water taxi has been sourced to provide complimentary service between Heriot Bay and the Whaletown government dock on Cortes Island and will operate on the regular posted MV Tachek schedule. Service will commence with the 1:50 pm Cortes Island departure.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience you may experience as a result of this cancellation.
