FOCI - Helen
Friends of Cortes Island Invites you to join us for the launch of our Western Screech Owl Project, Tues 1st March 7 – 8pm on Zoom.

We are hosting a presentation by Emily Upham-Mills, Ecosystems Biologist from the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development.

Emily will be telling us all about Western Screech Owls, explain why they have been disappearing from coastal BC, and outline important research that is taking place, including here on Cortes Island and our neighbouring Discovery Islands. We hope you will join us for this fascinating talk. Everyone welcome!

You can find out more about this exciting project in the brochure attached to this article. You can also learn more about these charismatic owls on our website HERE

This project is being undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada through the federal Department of Environment and Climate Change.
