The CCHA’s youth programming is offering the following course, free of charge, to Island youth, aged 9 – 13.
Come join Isabelle, a Registered Nurse, to explore and learn about puberty, reproduction, and sexuality. We'll build a safe and fun container, where curiosity and openness are part of learning about the different facets of this broad world.
Classes will be held at Linnaea from 1:30 to 2:30pm on February 2nd, 9th, 23rd and March 9th.
Feb 2nd: Facets of sexuality and puberty/hygiene
Feb 9th: Review of anatomy/ reproduction/ menstruation
Feb 23rd: Gender identity/sexual orientation/body image/stereotypes
March 9th: consent/getting to know ourselves
Please note that Isabelle is also teaching this course at the Cortes Island School for students there.
