Today is #ThankYouThursday - the day we share our gratitude for #GivingTuesday. The Forest Trust for the Children of Cortes Island Society would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of you who participated. Because of your generosity, we exceeded our goal –
we raised $10,600 in just one day!At this crucial time, these funds have shown how important our vision is to this community. This support is invaluable at this stage of negotiation for the land purchase and demonstrates that, as a community, we intend to follow through with protecting the Children’s Forest.
We know that our work is critical to our shared future. A parent recently told us:
I am so thankful that the Children’s Forest has been an integral part of my daughter’s upbringing. From the early days before she could read, until now, as a young adult, the land and the organization have been an important part of instilling environmental and social values for kids and adults alike. If you didn’t have a chance to donate, you can still
give here. We are so excited that we met our goal. Now that the process has begun, though, our need for funding will remain an ongoing challenge. Every donation pushes us closer to our objective.
If you’d like to share our vision with others, share our
homepage or our
Facebook page. Ask your friends and family to join our mailing list. Go on a monthly walk. Attend our upcoming AGM in January.
The more support we can show, the more likely we are to succeed on behalf of our children and our shared future. As always, we thank you – our community – for your continuing support and generosity on this #ThankYouThursday. And we wish you a Happy Holiday season!
With sincere gratitude,
Eric Hargrave on behalf of the FTCCIS Board
