As the ferry is having mechanical difficulties and holding dock in Whaletown for the rest of the day, I want to remind people that you can sign up for ferry cancellations and receive a notice by email if the ferry is cancelled or delayed.

Sign up for an account (top right of page) at https://www.bcferries.com/login

Sign up/Log in and select the routes you want to receive notifications for. This is a different account than the Experience Card login.

The notification system works pretty well, but sometimes the notices do get delayed, so don't plan/count on them for 100%.

Please be advised that the MV Tachek has cancelled the following sailings due to a mechanical difficulty. The ship is experiencing a problem with a main engine.

Cancelled:
All sailings for October 15th.

We are working to resolve the issue and we will keep you informed as soon as more information becomes available.
