Our first monthly meeting of the season is Tuesday, October 5th, 2:00 - 3:30 pm at Hollyhock. If you aren't feeling well or have symptoms of illness, please stay in the comfort of your own home. Everyone else is welcome; bring a mask and physically distance.

As well as our usual sharing time and business portion of the meeting, Priya Huffman will teach us about the practices and rituals around dying in a Jewish community. Many of us have no traditions to guide us when a loved one dies, and by default follow the status quo of a commercial model. Learning about the rich traditions of all cultures can expand our awareness about what we can to to honour our loved ones at death, as well as make requests from those we love that can be helpful when we die.

We are a group of folks who are enthusiastic about opening up conversations about death, dying, and grief. We’d like to explore how to prepare for our own death, become knowledgeable about current practices and alternative approaches, and educate our community. We believe this will enable us to live more vibrantly today.
