A dear, nature-loving friend, Jacie Ruffell, recently passed and requested that her body be placed in the natural burial section of the Whaletown Cemetery. A garage/garden sale was initiated by Jacie’s family and organized by the invaluable help of Yasmina Cartland and Emma Tius, to whom Jacie’s family is most grateful.
The $1567.00 funds raised through the garage/garden sale are a gift from Jacie and her family to the natural burial site of the Whaletown Cemetery. Jacie’s family wishes the Cortes community to know that this gift will be used to build a memorial structure to honour all those who will be buried in this section.
