Something tangible that will live
for future generations to enjoy. Imagine
A chance to remember a loved one,
a family’s gift in a special forest.
A legacy for the benefit of all. Imagine
A locally crafted bench,
wood harvested from our
community forest, beside
the new Rainbow Ridge Trail. Imagine
A plaque inscribed
with your words, remembrances,
a quote or a poem, inspiration
to contemplate along the way.
Only five benches will be made. Your personalized inscription could be on one of them. These unique benches will be allotted on a first come basis, to each donor who contributes $5,000 or more towards the Rainbow Ridge Trail Initiative.
All donations will receive a 2021 Canadian charitable receipt from the CISS–Housing Committee. You can donate online now by clicking here: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/cortes-island-seniors-society/
OR send a cheque to: Cortes Island Seniors Society–Housing Committee

American donors can get a US tax deductible receipt via TIDES-US Foundation by designating your donation to the Cortes Community Housing Fund – 2250 via this link: https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/tidesfoundation
Whether you have a modest gift or a more substantial amount to give to this ‘Trail Initiative’, please do. It takes a community to raise a village and it takes a village to forge new pathways and connections.
As always, with thanks,
Sandra Wood, Executive Director
On behalf of Cortes Community Housing Society (CHS)
and the Cortes Island Seniors Society (CISS)
