Come and visit the Cortes Museum’s newest exhibit Listening to Bees and see for yourself how busy bees really are.
On August 19, from 10 AM to NOON, one of Cortes Island’s beekeepers will install an “observation hive” in the Museum’s exhibit gallery.
Seize this opportunity to watch hundreds of bees at work in a glass frame.
Our gallery host will guide you through the exhibit sharing facts and lore about both native and honeybees, talk with you about why bees are dying and inform you about what YOU can do to protect them. And don’t miss a wander through our Heritage Garden which is also a buzz with bees.
