To my dear family, friends and community,
As some of you know, I have been battling a serious form of Lymphoma for the past year. I have completed 7 months of intensive chemotherapy treatment and I'm now awaiting biopsy results to see if I need further treatment.
Deep in my heart, I am feeling heaps of gratitude for the ocean of loving support from my family, friends and community.
I feel inadequate in expressing my deepest thanks to you all.
Thank you to the amazing staff at our Cortes Health Clinic, to the dedicated staff at the Cancer Center in the Campbell River hospital, to my Oncologist in Victoria, and a most sincere thank you to my very devoted therapist.
Thank you to the dearest community members, for signing up for a Meal Train, showing up, time and time again, with the most delicious, nurturing, and healing meals we could have ever imagined!
Thank you to the numerous friends and family who showed up for me and for Rex, in all the perfect ways, arriving with gifts, flowers, books, messages of love and hope, phone calls, poems, beautiful images, songs, walks, foot massages, medicinal gummies, and practical gifts, such as accompanying me on my chemo visits, helping in the garden, rebuilding our collapsed fence, cleaning the house, or offering me a safe, comfortable place to stay when i've had to travel to the BC Cancer Agency in Victoria.
A special mention to the dedicated and loving team of amazing dog walkers for my sweet companion Sita. I couldn't have done this without your help!
Finally, I wish to thank my family. You have all been my tireless companions and caregivers, never losing patience with me and always holding me high, in the Light and the Love.
In essence, we could not have gotten through this without all of your loving help and assistance. It has made all the difference for us and we feel a forever well of deep gratitude in our hearts.
A Thousand Thank Yous, from our hearts to yours....
Love, Lisa and Rex.
