Good news! All summer long, the Cortes Island Museum will be sharing photos from our archives. Each week will have a unique theme, and we’ll bring you ten of our favourite photos, hand-selected by the archives team. Stay tuned throughout the summer for a survey of Cortes Island gardens through the years, a celebration of local picnics and holidays, and more. This week, we’re happy to present some memorable portraits from our archives collection—you may even recognize a few of the faces!
How do I see the photos?A new gallery of photos will be posted on
Facebook each Tuesday, and a brief announcement posted on Tideline. Please hit “like” or share with friends on Facebook to upvote your favourite snaps. Your votes and shares will help us get more information about what kinds of photographs resonate with the community, and what you’d like to see going forward. The winning photo for each week will be announced the following Tuesday. In addition, photos on each theme will be posted
on Instagram every week.
