Do you remember handwriting, envelopes, licking stamps, or the feel of a good pen? How about the thrill of receiving a handwritten letter or postcard? Something about snail mail taking a bit of effort makes it even more appreciated.
During the COVID-19 lockdowns and quarantines, wouldn't it be nice to have a pen pal- someone who you can get to know and find out how they are doing during these crazy times?
We are reaching out to seniors on neighbouring islands who would like to connect in writing, via snail mail, with seniors on the other Gulf Islands. If you would like your name in the hat, call Carina, coordinator of Seniors Helping Seniors) at 250-935-6793 with your name and mailing address, or reply to carinacanadagmail.com.
As we get more people interested, we can widen our range. Stay connected- write a letter!
