Original Notice:
Sailing Cancellations May 8 – May 13, 2021

BC Ferries will be cancelling the 11:30 am sailing from Campbell River and the 12:00 pm sailing from Quadra Island from May 8 – 13, 2021 in order to complete marine work at Quathiaski Cove terminal. The work is required to accommodate the new Island Class vessels to be deployed on the route in early 2022.

On Tuesday, May 11, the 10:30 am Dangerous Goods sailing from Campbell River is being moved to 9:30 am. This change will allow access to the 10:30 am sailing for all other customers that day.

Customers are encouraged to plan your travel accordingly and avoid non-essential travel during this time period if possible, as potential overloads and longer wait times may occur.

A marine contractor will be performing the work whenever the berth is unoccupied. There may be times when the vessel has to approach the berth slowly or wait outside Quathiaski Cove briefly to allow equipment and diving teams to vacate the berth safely.

Considering the COVID-19 situation, all work will occur on the project site and crew members will limit their time on Quadra Island for essential work only.

BC Ferries thanks our customers for their patience as we make this schedule adjustment to improve the berth for the new vessel. For more information or traffic updates please follow BCFerries on Twitter, visit our website at bcferries.com, or call us toll free at 1-888-BCFERRY (223-3779).
