Hollyhock is opening for our 2021 Season!
I’m excited to share this news with you. Our Campus will be opening in the middle of May! Over the last two months, we have consulted locals, presenters, guests, partners, and other centres. We have also closely monitored the current health advisories, the vaccination roll-out, and the tourism sector and feel very confident that we can welcome guests back safely and with love.
Starting on
May 16, our guests will arrive on the island Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays only. Our room capacity will be on average 50% of the guests we hosted in 2019. We will welcome limited program participants and more holiday guests this season that will have time for local offerings, museum tours, and market purchases.
Gathering size restrictions and international travel restrictions continue to create uncertainty for our year ahead. COVID safety protocols on our Campus will follow the standards set by BCCDC, Island Health and Worksafe BC. Currently we are distancing, sanitizing, hand washing and wearing masks in our indoor spaces.
We are all excited to welcome locals back to enjoy our presenter evenings, to tour the garden, swim in the ocean in front of Hollyhock and walk the land. Remember that we have a number of island scholarships available to you and would love to see you in our programs this season.
Please also check out our current job postings if you’re interested in joining us.
https://hollyhock.ca/jobs/It's been a long winter! I am on the Campus most weekdays and would love to see you stop by as we ramp up for spring and connect if you have anything to share for our season ahead.
