This approach, Parenting by Connection, focuses on building a strong parent-child connection. Research shows that regardless of background, a close parent-child connection throughout childhood and beyond is the strongest factor in preventing a variety of health and social problems.

Hand in Hand Parenting offers insight and practical strategies to the important work of raising healthy children. Helping children feel connected and joyful sets a foundation for building a better future. During our time together, we'll explore some of the main Hand In Hand Parenting tools and strategies, including:

1) Special Time
2) How children's emotions work
3) How to deal with tantrums
4) Healing Fears
5) Setting limits
... and more.

Attendance of the first session is foundational to the rest of the series as listening partners will be assigned (optional, but highly recommended). This is a valuable aspect of the course and will help support you over the six weeks and potentially beyond.

Hayley will be offering short one-on-one sessions to each participant to go deeper and address your most pressing challenges.

Hayley Newell is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor. Her therapeutic influences include Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Play Therapy, Nervous Systems Education and Clowning.
