Tao Orion is an author, biologist, permaculture educator, organic farmer/gardener and mother living & teaching in Oregon.

Tao's book " Beyond the War on Invasive Species" provides a wholistic perspective on this often-emotional topic of discussion. Her calm, reassuring demeanor is a welcome balm for anxious gardeners.

We will learn:
* The history of the burgeoning war on invasive
plants.
* What plants are labelled invasive & why?
* What might we be doing in our own gardens that invites them into our environment?
* What possible role do herbicide companies and their products such as glyphosate (Round-up) play in the war on invasives?
* What best practices can we utilize in our gardens to limit "invasive" plants.
