Tune in this Friday December 11th from 1 to 3 p.m. as Margaret Verschuur, founder of the Cortes Island Deathcare Initiative and death doula, discusses what is involved in creating choices and assisting families with what are now considered "alternative" approaches to death and dying.
Death, although often challenging, is unavoidable and woven into the very fabric of life. How can we include it in our community in ways that line up with our values, honours those who have died, is environmentally responsible, and provides tangible ways to express grief.
Folk U Radio is taking old school viral on CKTZ 89.5 FM or cortesradio.ca every Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. (repeats Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.). Find this and past episodes at folku.ca/podcasts.
Call with your questions Friday from 1 to 3 at 250-935-0200 or, even better, send them in advance to ufolku.ca.
I hope you will tune in!
