In a multigenerational project, news can come slowly. But we have lots of interesting information for you this year, about CFGP operations, citizen ground-truthing of provincial forest data, our work with other island groups, and the provincial context.
In that context, we shine. Our community forest is a grass-roots enterprise which strives for economic reconciliation, sustainability and local economic opportunity. We have the good fortune of the Klahoose First Nation choosing to share the tenure in equal partnership with the non-aboriginal community. We have a lot to be grateful for.
Because we are using Zoom, you need to register in advance for this meeting:
https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUofu2spz0vG9MnOxCYbYRdv9GITveuPLBa Please do so at your earliest convenience, to help with our planning. We need a quorum of 12 and we hope for many more. We, perhaps like you, are new to Zoom. Marla Gagnier of the BC Cooperative Association will help run this AGM run smoothly for all participants.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
You also need to be a member to vote. If you aren’t a member yet, it is $25 for a lifetime membership. There’s a membership application attached to Mark Braatan’s tideline AGM announcement of October 25. Send it to directorscortescommunityforestcoop.org with a cheque for $25. Call Mark if you have questions: cell daytimes (250 203-7268) or at home in the evening (250 935-6308)
